CMS teachers worked with students this afternoon. It was good to see our CMS students in the building receiving some "in-person" assistance from the teachers.

CMS PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES Charleston Middle School has scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences for Thursday, October 15th & Friday, October 16th. Conferences are available on Thursday the 15th in the evening from 4:30 pm – 7:30pm. There will also be conferences offered on Friday the 16th from 8:45am – 3:00pm. In order to minimize the number of people in the building, we ask that just parents and the CMS student attend the parent teacher conferences. Upon arrival, we ask 8th grade parents to enter through the main entrance, Door 3, and the 7th grade parents through the front main entrance on the West side of the office which is Door 1. There will be staff to guide you to the correct doors. In order to provide safety, we will ask that you wait outside until your chosen time nears. Upon entering the building, face coverings are required and a temperature and screening will take place. In order to meet with all students, we ask that you respect the allotted time frame for your child’s conference.. If you have unanswered questions at the end of the meeting, you are welcome to reach out to individual teams and teachers by email or phone to have your questions answered. Once parents are finished with their conference, we will ask that you exit through the 7th and 8th grade doors on the East side of the building. Parents can register on October 5th after 4 P.M. by going to your Skyward account and following the directions below: -Click on the Conferences Tab for your student on the lower left of the screen -Then click on All Conferences -Please make sure you select your child’s correct team (RED or GOLD) -Next click on Select A Time -Finally click on Save -You will receive an email verifying date & time of your conference with the Teacher If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school at 639-6000.

This week, CMS 7th graders discussed how our country came together and was unified after the events of September 11, 2001. We had conversations on just how all of us, who remember that day, will never forget where we were nor how we felt. Our 7th graders were able to make great connections of that day with the challenges we face today. CMS 7th graders are resilient, patient, respectful and eager to interact and learn. Please take time to share your 9/11 experiences with your families. You are a primary source to that moment in history.
