CMS Eco Team had a great time competing at Lake Shelbyville's Eco-Meet. The students competed in the categories of Illinois Nuts and Berries, Illinois Snakes, and Orienteering. Over 20 schools competed at the JV level. Go Science! #cmscusd1

The CMS IMC is bursting with hands-on STEAM projects! Students enjoy the Makerspace activities such as Origami, Jigsaw puzzles, Legos, Magna Tiles, Brain Flakes and hands-on petting with Tark! If you would like to contribute to our Makerspace, we gladly accept donations of creative building materials and crafting supplies. #cmscusd1

CMS is celebrating Homecoming with spirit week! Show your Trojan spirit!

FREE TO THE PUBLIC! Charleston Middle School has a surplus of desks and classroom furniture. Please keep in mind these items are more than gently used and have seen lots of love. Items are first-come, first-serve and are currently located on the west side of the building off of Smith Dr. Please plan accordingly for loading - assistance will not be available.

CMS Cross Country will have their first practice Monday, August 11 at the CHS track beginning at 3:30. Any Charleston student entering grades 6-8 are welcome to join. You must have a current physical on file to participate.

CMS Baseball tryouts will be next Monday August 4th and Tuesday Aug 5th, from 9:00-11:00, for any 6th-8th grade boy at the HS field. You must have a current physical on file to participate.

CMS SOFTBALL TRYOUT

A reminder that CMS Softball tryouts will be held next Monday, July 28th from 8:30-10:30 at the HS Softball field. Any 6th-8th grade girl is welcome to try-out. They must have a current physical on file at CMS in order to participate. Contact Mr. Mayhall at mayhallb@charleston.k12.il.us with any questions.

The softball open field for any 6th-8th grade girl on Wednesday July 23rd and Thursday July 24th will be moved indoors to The Bullpen, from 8:00-10:00 AM.  The address is 1101 Loxa Road.  

There will be OPEN FIELD for any 6th-8th grade girls interested in improving their softball skills before tryouts on the following dates at the High School softball field. Hope to see you there.

July 21st-24th from 3:00-5:30.

Summer running is open to all Charleston students entering grades 6-12.
