CHS Daily Announcements

Today’s Announcements are for Wednesday, January 4, 2023

There will be a football meeting for all young men interested in playing football next fall on Thursday January 5th at 8am in the auditorium. Coach Halsey will have information and handouts available as well as answer any questions you have. Please be on time and TROJAN UP!

Students who did not return 1st semester textbooks need to do so as soon as possible since those textbooks need to be checked out to students for 2nd semester. If you still have a 1st semester textbook, you will need to return it or pay for it before you can check out a 2nd semester textbook. You received emails from SHARE to your school email address over winter break for these books.

The CHS Library is returning to some of its pre-COVID policies. To check out independent reading books or to "hang out" in the library during study hall, students will need to have a clear library record. This means that students cannot owe for lost books, whether textbooks or library books, to be able to check out independent reading books or "hang out" during class time. All books that were lost in May 2020 have been waived, and the library stopped charging overdue fees in 2020. Any amount that a student owes is for a book, loaner laptop, or loaner charging cord that was not returned starting in September 2020 through the present.

eSports will have an informational meeting this Friday at 3:30 in the eSports room. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Gunther or Mr. Shamhart!

Trojan Brew will be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. Next week, we will resume our regular operating days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are open from 7:45-8:30 a.m.

Ring in the new year with some new clothes from the Thread N Gold Room. Appointment cards are available outside room 108, Counselors and the Main Office. Come check us out!

Seniors-The Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative Scholarship is now available on the CHS scholarship page. The deadline to apply is April 30.
