CHS Daily Announcements

Today’s Announcements are for Wednesday, September 21, 2022

According to the American Library Association, in the first eight months of 2022, there have been 681 documented attempts to ban or restrict library books, with 1,651 unique titles targeted. The theme for Banned Books Week 2022 is "Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us." Censorship creates barriers. Banned Books Week is both a reminder of the unifying power of stories and the divisiveness of censorship. Come down to the CHS Media Center to see the display of books frequently challenged or banned. And any student checking out a book this week can choose a sticker to put on a water bottle, notebook, or laptop case.
