If you are interested in auditioning for the CHS Spring Musical, "The Little Mermaid", be sure to grab audition materials from underneath the PAC Call Board. The call board is located in the hallway behind the auditorium on the way to the conference room by the Main Office. Auditions are December 15th-17th with our first cast meeting on December 18th. See Mrs. Sharp with questions!
On Tuesday, December 16th, we will be holding our December Student Music Recital in the CHS Auditorium during the WIN/Lunch hour. Get into the holiday spirit and enjoy lunch while supporting your friends as they perform the music of the season! If you are interested in attending and you are in a required WIN, make sure to check in with your WIN teacher ahead of time to get permission to attend. WIN students will be asked to sign in and out of the performance. The doors will The Baker Gym/Music area will also be closed for WIN A and B on this day.

It is time for Class President and Vice President elections. You do NOT have to be a student council member to run for these positions. Please see Ms. Keeton in the library during WIN B this week to get a Packet and more information.
"There will be a CHS Future Teachers Meeting on December 10th, 2025 during WIN A with Mrs. Pendergast-White in Room 209, the Foods Room. Any student who is thinking about teaching after high school is welcome to attend, this includes students who may want to teach Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, and/or High School. We will be planning our activities for the second semester and discussing the Educator's Rising Conference at ISU! We hope to see you there!"
The Media Center is hosting Holiday-themed trivia during Win B on Thursday, December 11th. Up to 10 teams of 2-4 people can sign up with Mrs. Darimont in the Media Center. The categories this time are celebrations around the world, classic toys, and Christmas songs and movies.
Second Semester Driver Education Students
The Driver Education Department is going to provide an opportunity for students to take an early Learners Permit Test. The test will be on Wednesday, December 17th at 3:30pm in the Driver Education Room. The cost for the test is $20 (Cash or Check made out to IL Secretary of State).
To be eligible for the Permit test:
Students must be
15 years old
Enrolled in 2nd semester Driver Education
