Announcements for Monday, December 8, 2025

  

  • There will be a Track Meeting on December 9th at 8:10am in the Driver’s Ed Room.

 

  • Are you interested in taking a dual credit class or wondering how the one you are enrolled in will transfer to the college you want to go to?  Our Laker Connect Counselor will be here from Lake Land College on Friday, December 12.   Check your school email for details and how to sign up to meet with her!  The deadline to schedule an appointment is Wednesday, December 10th.

 

  • Trojan brew would really appreciate student support, we have new coffee drinks and so much more!!! Come on down and get some delicious coffee. We are open morning and lunch.

 

  • It is time for Class President and Vice President elections. You do NOT have to be a student council member to run for these positions. Please see Ms. Keeton in the library during WIN B this week to get a Packet and more information.

 

 

  • "There will be a CHS Future Teachers Meeting on December 10th, 2025  during WIN A with Mrs. Pendergast-White in Room 209, the Foods Room.  Any student who is thinking about teaching after high school is welcome to attend, this includes students who may want to teach Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, and/or High School.  We will be planning our activities for the second semester and discussing the Educator's Rising Conference at ISU! We hope to see you there!"

 

  • The Media Center is hosting Holiday-themed trivia during Win B on Thursday, December 11th. Up to 10 teams of 2-4 people can sign up with Mrs. Darimont in the Media Center. The categories this time are celebrations around the world, classic toys, and Christmas songs and movies. 

 

  • Congratulations to Doyle Scott on becoming the Illinois Special Olympics State Champion in his bowling division. Doyle bowled a 452 three game score. If you see Doyle, please ask him to show you his gold medal he earned on Saturday. Doyle did a great job representing Charleston High School by cheering on his fellow athletes and thanking the lane volunteers. Congratulation Doyle!!!!

 

  • THREAD N GOLD HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE 

Tuesday, December  9th • 11:30–12:30 PM

Prepare yourselves for the holiday clothing event so powerful it could knock the tinsel off a Christmas tree from 40 feet away.

We cordially (and somewhat desperately) invite you to come down to Room 107 in the basement—the only basement in town where you can leave looking like you’re starring in your own TV holiday movie.
