Good morning CHS!
· The Spring internship application is now open in SchooLinks. Any current junior or senior interested can apply. The link for more information and to apply is in your school email. The deadline for all applications and forms is December 1st. See Mrs. Niebrugge with questions.
· All students will be getting punch cards on Friday in their first hour class. Do not lose your punch card and put your name on your punch card. You will be receiving positive punches for showing respect, integrity, cooperation, compassion, honesty, and or hard work. You will be able to redeem punch cards for prizes throughout the semester. If you fill up a punch card and want another punch card, please see Mrs. Brimner. You will have to show proof your punch card is complete to receive another one.
· Freshman are now allowed to leave the cafeteria at lunchtime, but you need to stay on campus. You must still attend WIN.
· Lakeland College will be here today during lunch.
· Burr…It’s getting cold outside. Don’t freeze. The Thread n’ Gold clothing room has what you need. Come on down to room 107 in the basement to fill out a card and drop it in the mailbox. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays during 6th and 8th periods. Get cozy with some gear, stay warm, stay stylish, and stay gold!
· Our Lunch, Listen, and Learn performance for October is coming up this Thursday in the Auditorium! This month, we are presenting award-winning hip hop artist and TEDx speaker, Shaun Boothe, who uses live musical performance and multimedia to inspire students to reach their full potential. During Lunch/WIN he will be presenting his critically acclaimed musical project called "Live Your Legacy" that celebrates cultural icons through biographical rap songs- essentially repackaging history through hip hop music. The performance begins at 11:40am and will end at 12:25pm. Bring your lunch down and join us for this exciting performance!
· There will be a speech and drama team interest meeting Wednesday during lunch at 12:00 in the conference room.
· Youth Alive will meet in room 301 during WIN B today. We’d love to see you there!
· Volleyball needs dismissed at 2:30 today.
