Announcements for Thursday, September 11, 2025
Good morning CHS!
· Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001. We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the heroes who responded without hesitation, and the resilience of a nation that came together in the face of tragedy. Though many of you were not yet born, the spirit of unity and service that followed is an important part of our history. On this day, let’s remember the strength we find in one another and the importance of compassion in our community.
· Tomorrow is a two-hour early dismissal but we are going to run the half day schedule. Lunch will be from 11:40-12:20. The homecoming assembly will be at 12:20 with student dismissal at 1:20.
· Freshman students and WIN teachers: The National Honor Society Tutoring center is now open during WIN A. Students should get a blue pass from their teacher and head to Ms. Peterson’s room to get homework help from our very smart NHS members!
· The South Central FS Scholarship is now available for students to apply on the CHS Guidance website under local scholarships. The deadline to apply is November 30, 2025. If students need help locating the scholarship application, they should come down to the guidance office for help.
· Sophomores, juniors, and seniors – if you were on the honor roll last semester, come to the office to pick up your honor roll recognition card. Show this card at any home athletic event to get in free.
· Spirit Week days are here! Today is 80s neon day. Tomorrow is red/gold day.
· Soccer needs dismissed at 2:15. Girls and boys golf at 2:30. Tennis at 3:00.
