Announcements for Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Good morning CHS!

·         Homecoming guest passes are available in the front office and due September 10th. Homecoming tickets will be on sale September 3-10 for $10. Homecoming court nominations will be next week! Keep an eye on your email.

·         Powder Puff and Ironman Volleyball sign up deadline is September 10.  Please see Ms. Keeton or your class representative to sign up!

·         This year Luke Bryan and IL FFA are doing a can-do challenge. This requires canned/non=perishable food donations.  Out of these donations we will be required to make a farm themed scene.  Please send all donations to the ag building or office by September 2nd.

·         If you are struggling in any class and would like help from a Senior with very good grades! The National Honor Society Tutoring Center will be open in Ms. Peterson’s room this week during Win B on Tuesday and Thursday.

·         We have 30 copies of the 2025 yearbook we can sell at $75 each.  When they are gone, they are gone so don’t delay!  Bring a check or cash to Mr. Cohoon in room 300.

·         Do you need more CHS spirit gear for your favorite sporting event? Come down to the basement to the Thread n’ Gold clothing room. We also have an overabundance of summer clothing. We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6th and 8th periods.  Please fill out a card and drop it in the mailbox outside of room 107.

·         There will be an athlete-parent meeting Wednesday September 3 at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria for anyone wanting to play high school baseball in the Spring.

·         There will be a science club meeting during WIN A in room 207 today.  Everyone is welcome.

·         We are getting ready to kick off our "Lunch, Listen, and Learn" or "L3" Series, a lecture and performance program for students and staff members which provides presentations like concerts, lectures, etc. in the auditorium once a month during the WIN/lunch hour on a variety of different topics of interest. For this series, we want to know what types of guests YOU would like us to bring in to present to the school. Scan the QR code posted around the school to let us know what types of events and artists you want us to bring in to present during this time!

·         Boys soccer needs dismissed at 2:15. Girls tennis needs dismissed at 2:15.
