Announcements for Thursday, May 1, 2025

Good morning CHS!

·         Blossom into spring fashion by shopping with us in the Thread-n-Gold! We have your spring and summer needs like shorts, tank tops, dresses, hats, and more.  We also have lots of men shirts for the upcoming prom and something for the ladies too. We are in room 107 in the basement. And remember, everything is FREE. See you soon!

·         The Kristin Runyon ASE Scholarship applications are now available on the guidance website. These are 3 scholarships for $500 each. Applications are due back to the Guidance Office today.

·         It’s National Prevention Week! Sometimes, we need to take prescription medications. Those are designed to help us when we’re sick! But they are prescribed to you, specifically. In the same way you wouldn’t share your toothbrush or your underwear, don’t share your prescription drugs either! Don’t join the pack and help keep you and your friends safe!

·         All internship placements for next year are due today.  See Mrs. Niebrugge with any questions.

·         Please check your school email on a daily basis for emails from guidance regarding schedules for next year.

·         The last day for Freshman through juniors to check out books from the media center is May 8th. All senior books are due back by May 9th.

·         Youth Alive will meet in Room 301 during WIN B.  We’d love to see you!

·         Congratulations to the eSports Mario Kart Team of Aiden Villalobos, Riley Comstock, Lilly Zerbst, and Robbie Zerbst for finishing second place at sectionals last weekend.  Also, congratulations to the eSports Super Smash Brothers team of Estrella Olalde, Isaiah Baji, Drew Dow, Noah Step, Aiden Meado, and Thomas Twigg who finished second at sectionals in their event.  Both teams will compete at state this weekend in Chicago.  Way to represent Charleston and good luck at the state finals!

·         Please check lost and found if you are missing any items.  Everything will be donated at the end of this week.

·         Please dismiss Varsity Baseball at 1:40 and JV Baseball at 3!
