CHS Daily Announcements

The deadline to apply for 2024-2025 Kermit's Cove, Yearbook, Internship, ClassE, and Health Occupations courses is Friday, March 15.  We encourage you to complete your application prior to that date.  Applications are all on the high school's website!

 

Any students interested in completing an internship for next school year must have the application and teacher recommendations submitted by March 15 to be considered for the program. In addition, if a student is interested in an internship at Sarah Bush, they have changed their selection process, which includes a separate application with limited spots within selective departments. Please see Mrs. Niebrugge as soon as possible if you are planning to seek an internship within the hospital.

 

Juniors and Seniors, if your GPA is 4.5 or higher and you would like to join the National Honor Society, please attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, March 5th during WIN B in Ms. Peterson's room.  We will discuss the application process.

 

Students, All Juniors will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment on Wednesday March 6th. Please find your testing session (whether it's the AM session 8:30-11:30 or the PM session 12:30-3:20 and location posted on the walls outside of the Lecture Hall, Baker Gym, Office, and cafeteria. All students need to bring their laptop computer, charger, and wired headphones if you wish to utilize text to speech capabilities. Please charge your laptop prior to testing. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Brimner or Mrs. Doughty. 

 

Seniors-Several scholarships have been updated on the CHS guidance local scholarship page. Many due dates are coming up as well.  You can find all the scholarship information on the CHS guidance page. If you need any assistance, please contact your counselor. 

 

There will be meetings taking place in the cafeteria on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Please try to avoid this area during class periods.
