The Charleston High School Advanced Chorus members will be joining with the Eastern Illinois University Choirs and Eastern Symphony Orchestra for their performance of Handel's masterpiece, "Messiah". This piece, which premiered in 1742, has become one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music and features such pieces as the "Halleluia" Chorus. Performances are on Friday, December 1st at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 3rd at 4:00pm in Dvorak Hall in the Doudna Fine Arts Center on EIU's campus. The CHS students will be performing on the Sunday performance. Tickets for this event can be purchased at https://doudnatix.universitytickets.com/
