CHS Daily Announcements

It is that time of year to vote for Student Class President and Vice President. If you are interested in being a candidate for either office, please see Mrs. Keeton or Mrs. Sanders in the front office for a packet. Packets are due Friday, November 17. You do not have to be a current member to run for office.

The weather is changing and the Thread n Gold Clothing Room has a variety of winter clothes, shoes, and coats. Fill out a card and drop it in our mailbox outside of room 107 in the basement. Remember, all items are FREE!

Laura DeOrnellas, the CTE Recruiter from Lake Land College will be sharing information on their Ag, Construction, Manufacturing, Automotive, and Welding Programs this Friday in the A&M Center.  You can sign up for a session during your study hall.

Do you want to know what the CHS Musical is this year?  Come to the Auditorium at the beginning of WIN A today to find out.

Students and Staff-

There are two fundraisers happening this month for one of our very own Trojans.  Mrs. Bales, Spanish and Academic Literacy teacher is battling cancer.  She has been out all semester and plans on returning in January but will continue to receive treatments for two years.  These fundraisers are to help her out.

We have a dozen staff members participating in No Shave November.

Lock, Deadmond, Cox, Concepcion, Cohoon, Hinote, Hudson, Hanner, Gunther, McInerney, Shamhart, and

Oakley.

Perhaps you have noticed the extra stuff on their faces! They are each collecting donations.  The teacher that collects the least amount of money will have to shave their face in some crazy way at the end of November for all to see!  Add money to your favorite teacher's envelope to save them from the crazy shave and to help Mrs. Bales.

Another way to get involved will be next Monday and Tuesday.  November 13 is World Kindness day. Stop by the Interact club table in the cafeteria next week and make a donation to receive a kindness button, a beard or mustache or to purchase a baked good.  Thanks for your help and for letting Mrs. Bales know that we are in this together!

If you are a Freshman Trojan Up level student, please bring your card to the Baker Gym concession stand on Friday during lunch to get a slice of pizza.
