Attention AP students: If you are planning to take any AP test, the form and money are due in the guidance office to Mrs. Nelson on Friday, November 3 by 3:30 p.m. 

There has been an update to your laptops that will automatically clear all temporary files, including your downloads, after 14 days. Please be sure that your laptop is synced to OneDrive and that you are saving your files there. If you need help with syncing your laptop to OneDrive, please see Mrs. Runyon in the library.

 

Students, as a reminder you cannot send nor receive emails from non-Charleston email addresses unless those have been approved by the district. 

 

Congratulations to the members of CHS Maximum Forte for being selected as once of the top 7 groups to perform at the Kettering National A Capella Festival in Ohio in November out of 44 groups that applied.  To help raise money for their trip, the members of the group have decorated “Maximum Monsters” which are pumpkins located in the main office as a little competition.  Come out and support our group by voting for your favorite “Maximum Monster” by Halloween.  The winner will be announced on our Instagram page, maximum_forte on Halloween.

Come watch our music department throw down in the Tri-M sponsored dodgeball tournament! A night of intensity, laughter, costumes, and fun! Tonight , at 7 PM- in Baker Gym. Student entrance fee is $2, adults are $3

All current juniors and seniors who are interested in an internship for the spring semester must have all required paperwork completed and submitted to Mrs. Niebrugge by December 1. You should have received an email this week with a link to the internship page on the CHS website. There is an application, teacher recommendations, and required documents within the internship handbook that must be completed. If you need assistance or have questions, please either email Mrs. Niebrugge or stop by Room 312 to meet in person.

Freshman Gold and Trojan Up level students please bring your Trojan Up or Gold level cards to the concession stand Friday during lunch to get a popcorn or candy bar. If you haven’t received a t shirt or been given a level please see Mrs. Brimner. 

 

Do you bleed red and gold? Prove it on Oct 30th at the impact life blood drive! All students sixteen and older are eligible to donate.  Sixteen-year-olds, however, need a permission slip signed from the front office. Scan the QR code on any sign or the back of your permission slip to schedule an appointment.  Walk-ins are not excepted so sign up soon. The Blood drive is from 8:00am to 1:00pm in Baker gymnasium, local supplies are critically low so please consider donating. See Ms. H or any science club member if you have questions. "

The basketball season is right around the corner! Here are some important dates to remember:

OCT 31–Last Open Gym 6:45-8:45 pm

NOV 2–Player & Parent Mtg in Baker Gym after football practice 5:30 pm. Make sure at least 1 parent attends.

 

Let’s pack the stands on Saturday as we take on Freeburg in the first round of state playoffs at Trojan Hill.  Game starts at 2:00, gates open at 12:30. $5 admission for all.  Passes cannot be accepted for post-season games.
