"Did you know that studies have shown that eating with music improves digestion, as it provides a positive and more relaxed environment? On Wednesday, March 22nd during WIN A and B, CHS will be presenting another "Lunch and Listen" concert in the auditorium for any interested students. EIU piano faculty members Paul Johnston & Victor Cayres will be returning to our stage joined by string faculty members cellist, David Commanday & violinist, Ji Myung Kim, to perform a chamber music concert and talk-back session during the lunch hour. This concert is free and open to any CHS student; you do not have to be enrolled in a music class to attend. The presentation will take about 45 minutes so we encourage you to bring your lunch with you. Don't miss out on the opportunity to see these world-class musicians on our own CHS stage!"

"Congratulations to the members of Maximum Forte for their wonderful performance at the International Championships for High School A Cappella on Saturday night in Harrison, OH. They were only 11 points off ranking in the top three for the competition and CHS senior member, Tristan Williams won one of the four special awards for the night as the top student arranger in the competition for his chart of Welshly Arm's "Legendary". Stay tuned for information about their upcoming showcase in May and auditions for next year's ensemble."

"Backstage crews are beginning to form for this year's CHS musical production of Cinderella. We are looking for talented and hard-working individuals interested in getting involved with our run crews, lighting crew, sound crew, hair/make-up crew/costume crew, and front of house crew. There will be a meeting in the auditorium during WIN A on Thursday March 23rd for interested students where you can learn more about our crews and get an application to become a member of the Performing Arts Club and the production. If you have always wanted to be a part of the theatre but prefer to be a part of it from behind the scenes, this is the place for you. Join us on Thursday during WIN A for more information."
