We happened to notice the viral picture of old driving simulators being shared around on social media today, so we thought it'd be the perfect time to share that coincidentally, the driving simulators at Charleston High School just recently got upgraded from ones just like those! Out with the old and in with the new!!



IDOT has notified school officials that tomorrow (Wednesday, April 24, 2024) there will be NO access to the Middle School and High School campuses via Route 130 (18th Street) due to road construction. Individuals will need to access the campuses via Harrison Street or Route 16.


They say once you become a bus driver, all your troubles are behind you!! Thank you to all of our local school bus drivers for continuing to go the extra mile for our kids!

Central Office staff members are ready to help strike out cancer tomorrow!


Come join us this Saturday, April 20th at CHS to support our annual Strike Out Cancer event! We are kicking the day off at 8:30am with a 5k color run followed by the CMS Little Trojan Track Invite and CHS softball & baseball games beginning at 10:00am. We will be grilling out/selling food & sno-cones most of the day as well. All proceeds this year will be going to the Beals Family to help a fellow Charleston CUSD#1 employee/parent/friend as she battles breast cancer. 🎗


IDOT has notified school officials that beginning Tuesday, April 16 access to the Charleston Middle School and Charleston High School campuses via Route 130 (18th Street) may be limited due to road construction. This road construction may continue through the end of next week as they work their way to the intersection of Route 16 and Route 130. If road closures occur, individuals are encouraged to access the campuses via Harrison Street or Route 16.
