COVID-19 UPDATES

Charleston CUSD #1 Plan for Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services:

For the beginning of the 2021-22 school term, universal mask use is required indoors for everyone in our schools.  This is subject to change at any point based upon levels of community transmission, local vaccine coverage, and consultation with local public health officials.

Sarah Bush Lincoln is offering Pfizer vaccines at the Mattoon and Charleston Walk-In Clinics during regular hours. The two-dose vaccine is available to people 12 and older and at no cost to them. The clinics are open Mon-Fri from 7am to 7pm; and Fri-Sat 8am to 3pm. No appointment is necessary.

Data Last Updated: September 23, 2021

Note: Daily student and staff COVID-19 case and quarantine data is no longer provided to us by the Coles County Health Department Staff. The figures shown here represent the known cases and quarantines in our schools, as best as we can determine, based upon information reported to us by parents and by the Coles County Health Department Staff at some point over the course of a student’s or staff member’s isolation or quarantine. These figures can be considered to be near to, but not an exact count of, the number of cases or quarantines for any given day.

C = Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

   Q = Quarantined due to possible exposure
