Thursday Spirit Day: Decade Day

This week CMS staff will be looking for students who look for ways to help others.

March is National Women's History Month. Rosa Parks' contributions to the Civil Rights Movement are undeniable. But nine months before she refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white person in Montgomery, Alabama, 15-year-old Claudette Colvin did the same thing on the same bus system.

Congratulations to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team for going 2 - 0 last night, defeating Effingham St. Anthony and a tie-breaker win against Shiloh. Owen Davis led the team with 7 toss-ups and Colby Metzger answered 6 toss-ups. JV defeated Effingham St. Anthony 195-70 to push their record to 6-3. Leading scorer for the JV was Samuel Thomas with 3 toss-ups, others getting on the board last night were Andrei Chiritescu, Harper Brantley, Gavin Hudson, and Brayden Armstrong. Tournament at Paris-Crestwood tomorrow.

CMS Press will meet tomorrow after school.

Friday, March 15th will be a half day. CMS will dismiss at 11:45.
