Ashmore family and friends packed the house today for 4th grade graduation and Awards Day. Students were recognized for their academic achievements and 4th grade students shared heartfelt messages. Best of luck 4th graders on your journey to Jefferson Elementary. We will miss you all! #ashmorecusd1

Ashmore students that earned all A's on their 4th quarter report cards, celebrated their hard work this morning by enjoying Dunkin' Donuts with Mrs. Brown! #ashmorecusd1

Ashmore's 3rd grade students in Mrs. Giron's class created and hosted a wax museum this week centered around the Magic Treehouse series. Mrs. Giron's class set a class goal to read 28 Magic Treehouse books together, ended the school year by reading 30+ books as a class. To celebrate their achievement, the class invited parents and Ashmore students to visit their Magic Treehouse wax museum, where they educated their visitors on topics such as: The Civil War, the Olympics, the history of theater, Pompeii, dinosaurs, the Titanic, and more!!

Ashmore 3rd and 4th grade students took a field trip to the state capitol today! They traveled in style courtesy of the Ashmore PTO. Big thanks to the parents that volunteered to help chaperone.

Ashmore Elementary students were able to participate in a reward celebration this week. Students earned the celebration by showing acts of respect and leadership for the month of April. The student Lighthouse team submitted a proposal of extra recess time with water balloons and ice cream sandwiches to the Ashmore PTO. Our fantastic PTO made it happen for them. #ashmorecusd1

Ashmore Elementary School students raised over $3350 this spring to help support the Ashmore PTO. Pictured are the students that sold 60+ raffle tickets. Such a great effort from our Ashmore students and families! Ashmore PTO utilizes the raised funds to support students with field trips, monthly reward celebrations, grade-level tee shirts, and more!

Ashmore 3rd graders read the book Balloons Over Broadway and watched examples of Macy's Thanksgiving Day parades to gather ideas for their own balloons.
