Good morning, CMS Trojans. Today is Monday, October 19, 2026.
There are no CMS birthdays today.
We have a CMS shout out today for Mr. Spear. This student said, “He is always making us laugh and going above and beyond to make sure we understand the math problem.”
We have another shout out today for Audrey Morgan. This classmate said, “Audrey is an amazing student, an amazing trumpet player, and she never fails to make people smile.”
We have another shout out today for Landry Wiley. “She's always jolly and sweet and is supportive and kind to others around her, and she always tries her hardest to make people around her happy.”
We have another shout out today for Easton Truex. This classmate said, “They are a great friend and always help me out in any of my classes any day of the week.”
We have one more shout out today for Mrs. Stranz. This student said, “Mrs. Stranz is always so nice and sweet everyday even whenever she's having a bad day herself, she is always in a positive mood and there for others around her.”
Do you know a veteran? Maybe a parent or a grandparent? CMS asks you to invite a veteran to this year’s Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11 on the campus of EIU. Please pick up a form in the office or from your Social Studies Teacher.
7th Grade Service Group Members, be sure to check your email. We will meet Thursday morning at 8:00 A.M. in Mr. Pitcher's room.
EIU Homecoming Shirts were passed out to students on Friday. If you did not receive one in your 1st or 3rd period class, please ask for one. We would like all staff and students to wear their shirts this Wednesday the 21st.
Cozy Up for a Cause: Battle of the Body Wash!
We challenge our friends at Mattoon Middle School to a friendly body wash showdown!
Who can collect the most bottles and make the biggest difference for local families?
Let's fill our donation bins, show our generous hearts, and prove that giving back is something our school does best!
Soap up. Show up. Give back!
Our CMS Motto is “Lead with courage and inspire with kindness.”
Everything happens twice. First, we use our thoughts and imagination to mentally create it. Then, we use our actions to physically create what we want to do.
Our actions make our mental picture become real.
For today’s motto moment, let’s take a few minutes to think about what we want to accomplish today.
Have a Marvelous Monday!
