Good morning, CMS Trojans. Today is Tuesday, October 6, 2026.  

There will be no school on Friday, October 9th for a Teacher's Institute and Monday, October 12th for Columbus Day. Enjoy your 4 day weekend! 

There are no CMS birthdays. 

This announcement is for 7th Graders.  The CMS Service Group is now looking for 7th graders to join our team.  If you want to help our school and community and be involved here at CMS. The service group is for you! Please pick up an application in the office and see Mr. Pitcher for details. 

Thursday, October 8 will be the last day to redeem positive punches for items at the prize shop.  

Attention CMS Press, you will meet tomorrow morning at 8:00 A.M. in Ms. Bickford’s room.

Discipline 1 is Focus on the Wildly Important. Think of a WIG as a Wildly Important Goal to close a wildly important gap. We want our WIGs to sound like “From X to Y by When.” Think start line, finish line, and deadline.

There will be a Student Leadership Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13th at 8:00 in Mrs. Dow’s room. 

Do you know a veteran? Maybe a parent or a grandparent? CMS asks you to invite a veteran to this year’s Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11 on the campus of EIU.  Please pick up a form in the office or from your Social Studies Teacher.
