Mr. Coleman, visited Mrs. Ehr’s and Mrs. Ballinger’s classes to talk about the branches of the military and share stories from his time in service. Our students were so engaged and asked amazing questions!

We also walked to the square on Tuesday to show our respect and honor our veterans during the community Veterans Day ceremony. And fun fact—our very own Mrs. Ehr sings at the ceremony every year! ❤️

A big thank-you to all who serve and have served! #JeffersonCUSD1

Our students wanted to make sure Halloween wasn’t just about candy and costumes — it is also about appreciation!

They wanted to make sure those who serve our students daily felt seen and celebrated this season. Thank you to our students for showing that kindness is truly the best treat of all 🍬🎃 #JeffersonCUSD1

What happens when you throw a pumpkin off the roof? 🤔 Our preschoolers found out today while learning all about cause and effect and gravity! Nothing like a little hands-on science to make learning stick (and splat)! 🎃 #JeffersonCUSD1

Illinois is the #1 state for growing pumpkins in the world! Kellie Diveley, the Education Coordinator for Coles County Soil and Water Conservation District, helped Jefferson students learn about our state's legacy all while having some fun! Between an educational craft, reading the Pumpkin Ag Mag along with a worksheet, listening to the story of Pumpkin Jack, and a pumpkin trivia game that included tossing a blowup pumpkin around the room, students learned all about the lifecycle of a pumpkin and that there's more to pumpkins than meets the eye! #JeffersonCUSD1

What an amazing night! Our Student Lighthouse Team had a spooktacular time at Scare On The Square this past Friday! 👻🎃

We loved seeing all the creative costumes, handing out candy, and sharing the 7 Habits with our community. A big THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our booth — and to our Lighthouse members for showing such great leadership and school spirit! #JeffersonCUSD1
