Carl Sandburg Families, Thank you to everyone for all that you are doing to keep your children engaged in learning during this unique time. Beginning the week of May the 18th, we will begin the process of returning student owned materials back to students, and the return of district owned materials back to the school. The procedure will be as follows (similar to end of the day dismissal): 1. Cars will line up along Reynolds Drive and enter the front circle drive. Please remain in your vehicle. 2. A number will be assigned to your car after a staff member takes your student's name. Drive to that number and wait for someone to bring your student's materials to your car. 3. Be prepared to return any school materials to that person (library books, text books, technology, etc... This procedure will take place from 11:30 - 2:00 following this schedule: 1. First grade - Monday 18th 2. Second grade - Tuesday 19th 3. Third grade-Thursday 20th We appreciate your willingness to follow these procedures to maintain social distancing requirements. If these times or dates will not work for you please contact your child’s classroom teacher to make other arrangements. Thank You, Aaron Lock Principal Carl Sandburg

CUSD 1 Staff continues to connect with their students both academically and social/emotionally. Tonight would have been the opening of the high school musical, Mary Poppins. Staff members helping with the musical surprised the cast, crew, and orchestra pit staff with signs in their yard this morning.
