February 1, 2021 kicked off Black History month at Carl Sandburg. Students shared famous quotes during our virtual morning meetings, that connected to important African Americans in history. Some staff shared picture books, such as Martin Luther King Jr’s life and discussed the peaceful change he wanted for the world. If you have not visited the Charleston schools Facebook page, please visit our page to see some pictures of Mrs. Evans 3rd grade class learning about influential African Americans in history.
