Mark Twain Meet the Teacher nights are going to be hosted at Mark Twain Elementary next week. Please note which door you should enter/exit the building. If you are using the back door, feel free to park in the staff parking lot south of the building. We ask that only one parent/guardian accompany each kindergarten student. Masks are required upon entry and social distancing guidelines will be followed.  *Monday, August 24: Mrs. Ready (front door) & Mrs. Zigler (back door)  *Wednesday, August 26: Ms. Dennis (front door) & Miss Arvidson (back door) *Thursday, August 27: Miss Garcia (front door) & Mrs. Oakley (back door) *Friday, August 28: Mrs. Phipps (front door) & Ms. Kuhns (back door)

Teacher assignments will be released on Skyward Wednesday, August 12 at 4pm.

Shout out to all of our Mark Twain families for their cooperation and grace during our Kindergarten assessment days. 100% of our parents and students have entered the building wearing masks and all that have entered have been so positive and uplifting. Mark Twain yearbooks are in! If you ordered a yearbook, you can pick it up from the Mark Twain office from 8-3. Please call the office before stopping by so we can have it ready for you. Unfortunately, there are no extra yearbooks available.

Parents of in-coming Kindergartners: All of you who have filled out the pre-registration form, thank you! I have sent you all your user names and passwords. If you cannot find it, or accidentally deleted it, please email me (haugheek@charleston.k12.il.us) and I will resend! Also, please don't forget to sign up for their assessment time, the link is at the bottom of the email. Have a great summer!

As the school years winds down, I want to give a shout out to the staff of Mark Twain. They didn't "survive" through remote learning, they thrived!! I appreciate their countless hours spent navigating unknown territory with such a grace.
