MORNING DROP OFF PROCEDURES

1ST DAY OF SCHOOL

If your youngest child attending Carl Sandburg is a first grader and you are dropping your child off at school, approach the school from the south by way of University Drive to the east end of Reynolds Drive. Park in the grassy area near the ball diamond and walk your child or children into the building. Enter at the southeast door and take your first grader directly to the classroom. Someone will help you find the room. Older children may go on to their classrooms by themselves. Remember to take University Drive to the east end of Reynolds Drive and park in the grassy area near the ball diamond.

If your youngest child attending Carl Sandburg is a second grader and is not riding the bus, on the first day of school and everyday thereafter approach the school from the north by way of Reynolds Drive. Turn right or west onto McComb and pull into the large parking lot and drop off at the northeast door. If you wish to walk your child in on the first day of school, you may park in the lot. The children may go directly to the classroom. Be very careful when leaving the lot.

If your youngest child attending Carl Sandburg is a third grader, on the first day of school and everyday thereafter, approach the building by way of Douglas to McComb. Douglas is the street that the Best Western Worthington Inn is on. McComb is 1/4 mile south on Douglas. Follow McComb until you reach the entrance to the new parking lot. Pull into the lot and drop at the point closest to the building. You may park in the lot if you wish to walk your child in on the first day of school. Your child may go directly to the classroom. Be sure to turn left when you leave the lot.
