I will be teaching 5th/6th grade band and co-teaching 7th/8th grade band. I have two degrees from Eastern Illinois University, in Music Performance and Music Education. This will be my first year in the Charleston School District after spending the last two years teaching high school band in Robinson and I am so excited to teach band and be closer to my wife and 2 cats!

I have been teaching in the CUSD 1 district for 20 years. I have taught art at Mark Twain, Ashmore, CMS, and currently at Jefferson. What I love most about teaching is getting to know my students on a more personal level. I was born and raised in Charleston. I live in the country with my husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 4 cats. In my free time I like running and spending time outside with my family. I'm a huge Dave Matthews fan, as well as a Chicago Bears fan.
