About Us

Mark Twain Elementary serves preschool and kindergarten students with a total population of approximately 200 students.  Parents may choose from a full day or half day kindergarten option.

The kindergarten program is designed to build on students' natural curiosity for learning.  Students are actively involved through the use of hands-on activities.  The full-day program allows for more enrichment, exploration, and extension of basic concepts.

Besides proving instruction in the basics, Mark Twain Elementary provides instruction in several other areas.  Classes in art, library, music, and physical education are provided by subject area specialists.  Speech and language services, learning disabilities services, and other special programs are available.

Staff member believe very strongly in the value of parental involvement in school activities.  Mark Twain strives to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where students and parents will feel comfortable.  Parent participation is definitely welcome.
