     The CMS Percussion Ensemble has developed a reputation of excellence.  With its beginning in the late 1980's, this group has grown to the dynamic, exciting and highly entertaining group that is in much demand for performances.  Performing classical , contemporary and traditional percussion selections, members grow in their skills and understanding of a wide range of musical styles.  Membership is comprised of students of the CMS concert band and while all percussionists are in the ensemble, the majority of members are wind instrumentalist who desire to learn and perform with percussion instruments.  This ensemble is a joy to work with and it is always ready for anything!  Last year, the ensemble performed "The Wind Up Toy" and "Away in a Manger" for the Christmas Concert.  The ensemble presented Bailando La Soca  for the Showcase Concert and also performed that same selection at the  I.E.S.A. Solo & Ensemble Contest on March 24th.  They worked with 2001 and Oye Como Va for the spring concert.  All these selections are available from Row - Loff Productions.

This group is organized each year following the conclusion of our marching band schedule.
