Overview
This one semester course is designed to further develop proper touch keyboarding skills, formatting techniques, and skills with word processing (Microsoft Word), presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint), and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel).
Class Activities/Content
Keyboarding/Formatting Practice
Students will type and learn to properly format multi-page academic reports and business reports with side and paragraph headings. They will also learn how to format a Works Cited page and a title page, and how to insert footnotes in a report. Proper keyboarding technique will be reviewed and practiced during this time.

Word Processing/Microsoft Word
Presentations/Microsoft PowerPoint
Students will review the fundamentals of PowerPoint, and they will learn some tips for enhancing presentations. In addition, they will learn to enrich their presentations with visual elements, hyperlinks, and action buttons.

Work at School
All work for Computer Skills must be completed at school. If you need more time than is allotted in class or if you need to make up work after an absence, you can in my room during Home Base or after school. The IMC is open before school, but you will need to get a copy of the assignment instructions from me the day before in order to do the work. If a project requires my assistance, you will have to set a make-up time with me so Ill be available to help you.
