PTA Fundraising

This year the Charleston Joint PTA is trying some new, exciting fundraising events. In the fall, we started off the year with a Red Apple fundraiser. The students came home with catalogs that provided a great variety of items for sale. The three schools had great success with this fundraiser!

The main fundraiser for the school year was our First Annual Silent Auction. It was held at the Best Western Worthington Inn. We had food, pictures, and great auction items! The individual classrooms put together some wonderful themed baskets that went over well with the bidders! There were so many great donations from the Charleston community and beyond to help make our auction a success! This year, the auction raised over $14,000 for the Charleston Elementary Schools!!! This will be divided between the three school to purchase large items that have already been decided upon by the principals. We are hoping this will be an even greater success next year and in years to come!

The PTA has also decided to try a new approach with Market Day this year. With new contracts being made, the PTA will provide a limited catalog 4 times this school year, the first being just in time for Christmas orders! We hope that the parents enjoy this option to make dinner and treats easier, and to provide for your child's school as well.

There will be other opportunities this year as well. We will have those posted at the schools and in our newsletter as well.
