Introduction
EEF was established in 1993 as a nonprofit organization. It is an entity
separate from the Charleston Unit School District System and is managed by
a 12 member Board of Directors.
Through the educational grant program, EEF endeavors to:

Enhance
the educational opportunities offered to each child
·
Enrich
the creative and supportive teaching environment within Charleston
Community Unit School District #1 Schools
To fulfill these objectives, EEF will award grants to programs and
projects that can not be implemented through regular school funding.
Financial support will be awarded to selected applicants for the current
school year in the form of mini grants, awarded in the spring and select
large grants as special circumstances arise.
